Marine Vertebrate Ecology Lab

Charlie completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 2026 at the University of Sydney, majoring in Marine Science and Environmental Studies with Honours in Ecology and Evolution. Her Honours research investigated how chemical pollutants can interact with other anthropogenic pressures to influence animal behaviour, physiology and reproduction. Alongside this, Charlie has contributed to marine mammal research projects involving photo-identification, morphometric analysis, and passive acoustic monitoring, as well as sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation efforts. Her research interests focus on how anthropogenic pressures affect animal behaviour and physiology, with a particular interest in marine megafauna ecology and conservation. As a volunteer with the MAVE lab, Charlie is currently supporting research exploring cetacean ecology through stable isotope data as part of the IsoCet Project. In her spare time, Charlie is an avid diver and enjoys spending time in and around the ocean.
